Our Staff

Pastor Troy Budreau

SENIOR PASTOR

Pastor Budreau has dedicated the past 15 years of his life to serving as the senior pastor at Faith. His deep-rooted passion for Christ was evident from the beginning, as he and a group of 25 people came together to start the church back in 2008. Pastor Budreau is also a devoted family man who adores his wife, Cherie (of 20 years), and their three beautiful children. Pastor Budreau’s favorite Bible passage is Philippians 2. In his free time, he loves hunting, and he takes his coffee black.

Pastor Matt Fisher

ASSISTANT PASTOR

Pastor Matt attended the very first service of Faith as a teenager with his family. God worked miraculously in his heart and called him into ministry while he was in Bible college. He has been on staff for five years. He and his lovely wife, Rebekah, have two daughters. Pastor Matt’s favorite verse is Matthew 6:21. He loves hunting with Pastor Budreau and enjoys his coffee any way he can get it.

Our Story

If you are going to understand the start of Faith Baptist Church, you have to hear the whole story. In 1981, a year before Pastor Budreau was born, Faith Baptist Church in Warren Michigan called its 3rd senior pastor, Dr. David Cummins. In the early 90s, Pastor Cummins began talking about a dream to one day start another church. The first time he mentioned that dream to the assembly was the same spring Pastor Budreau accepted Christ as Savior. Both Faith Baptist Church and the Budreau’s were waiting for God’s perfect timing to see this dream through. In 1997, Faith Baptist Church called their 4th senior pastor, Dr. Cummins’ son-in-law, Dr. Marty Marriott. A vision that started in the heart of Faith Baptist Church would become reality under Pastor Marriott’s vision and care. Although the church was ready to plant another ministry after paying off their mortgage, they had to wait to find a church planter. No one yet knew all that God was doing, but Faith had to wait because Pastor Budreau hadn’t finished his education yet. In fact, Dr. Marriott caught his first look at his new church planter at graduation. A single phone call the spring after Pastor Budreau graduated from Maranatha Baptist University in 2007 would finally bring all of God’s work together.

With the full support and sacrifices of Faith Baptist Church in Warren Michigan, Faith Baptist Church of Northern Macomb County held its first service in September 2008. We started in a school gymnasium and were only able to have a Sunday morning service at our first location. A year and a half after our start, God miraculously provided us our current building, fully furnished, nestled in the heart of Ray Township at the corner of 27 Mile Rd and Romeo Plank. We quickly outgrew and paid off our building just a few years after we moved in. We knew God was doing more. Since then, God has enabled us to buy nearly 12 acres of property exactly one mile north of our current building. It is at the corner of 28 Mile and Romeo Plank in Ray Township that we believe God is going to continue to do his incredible work.

OUR BUILDING

Our current building, nestled at the corner of 27 Mile Rd and Romeo Plank, is truly historic. It was built by the Methodists in 1895 and has been wonderfully maintained and preserved for 115 years.

It stands as a historical monument to the foundation on which our country has flourished..."one nation under God". It became our home in March of 2010. You haven’t experienced worship like this until you have heard music and voices fill our auditorium.

OUR Beliefs

Faith Baptist Church believes that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to die for our sins. He rose again to give us eternal life, and through Him, we can enjoy a restored relationship with God. We believe that our joy as Christians is to follow God's inspired Word. Moreover, we believe that our calling is to share our faith with as many people as possible, knowing that God has promised that His Word is the answer to all our questions.
